Terms of Service

Last updated: June 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TrialGuard (the “Service”). By connecting your Google account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

TrialGuard scans your connected Gmail inbox to detect free trials and subscriptions and sends you reminders before a trial converts to a paid charge. The Service is provided to help you stay informed; it is a convenience tool and not a substitute for managing your own subscriptions.

Accounts and access

To use the core features of TrialGuard you connect a Google account and grant read-only access to your Gmail. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your connected account and for keeping your Google credentials secure. You may disconnect your account at any time through TrialGuard or your Google Account permissions page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

No financial guarantee

TrialGuard relies on automated detection of emails and may miss, misread, or misclassify a trial, renewal date, or price. Reminders may be delayed or fail to send. You remain solely responsible for tracking and cancelling your own subscriptions and for any charges you incur. We are not responsible for any charges, fees, or losses resulting from a trial that was not detected or a reminder that was not received.

Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including Google (Gmail), Anthropic (email classification), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of those providers’ services through TrialGuard is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of third-party services.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we access, use, and protect your data.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrialGuard and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and disconnect your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, including if you violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
